The Role

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and forward plan the release windows and cycles across a portfolio.
- Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality.
- Measure and monitor progress to ensure releases are delivered on time, within budget, and meet or exceed expectations.
- Implement and manage release processes for code through development, test, and production environments.
- Work collaboratively with developers, testers, and IT operations to facilitate the build and deployment of software.
- Lead the definition of the IT strategic direction for release management tools to ensure process requirements are met.
- Focus on strategic initiatives that drive improvement and efficiency across the organization.
- Assist in managing projects and interdependencies to ensure milestone adherence and the integrity of the release.

Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software solutions, systems, or products.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage up and provide reporting to senior IT management.
- Familiarity with software engineering processes and practices associated with continuously building, deploying, and updating software and environments.
- Ability to coordinate with IT release managers from different portfolios to create a centralized view of all releases.
