Your Opportunity
**As the Administration Officer you will**:
- Provide administrative and financial services to support the activities of State Schools Division in the delivery of timely and quality client services.
- Access and operate administrative and technical databases and financial records management systems, process information and prepare associated reports.
The Administration Officer reports to the nominated supervisor in the region or work unit within State Schools Division.
About the Role
You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:
- Administer the flow of internal and outgoing correspondence.
- Provide information and advice on administrative, personnel and financial issues to management and staff.
- Assist with ordering, stock control, records/file management and financial management.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitoring activities, and in payments control.
- Organise travel and accommodation bookings and associated expense claims for staff and clients.
- Conduct induction programs and training for administrative officers and/or trainees.
- Perform a variety of administrative or support services as directed.
- Undertake work activities in a cooperative and supportive manner and as an active member of a diverse work team.
About You
**The ideal applicant will have the following key attributes**:
- Proven high level general administrative support skills including the ability to work independently with limited supervision and collaboratively as part of a team, to reliably organise individual workloads, meet agreed deadlines and client service standards.
- Ability to consult with staff at all levels and to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
- Well-developed, interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to maintain confidentiality.
When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
