**About the role**

In late 2021 the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre created it’s Lean Agile Centre of Excellence (LACE) to help drive it’s continued progressive journey to better ways of working across the organisation. Through coaching, facilitation and training, LACE supports optimisation of ways of working across the MCEC, to better define, track, and achieve outcomes. Ultimately, the purpose of LACE is to enable uplift in employee empowerment and customer centricity, cultivating and supporting optimised ways of working throughout MCEC. We are currently on the lookout for an experienced, adaptable, and culturally compatible individual as our Head of LACE to lead the LACE team and guide the MCEC through its next evolution on this exciting journey.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Responsible for developing and accurately forecasting, monitoring, and meeting allocated budget
- Provide direction and support to the LACE team
- Inspire action through building organisational capability that can harness new ways of working
- Shape the future by contributing to setting a strategic direction that is responsive and resilient to changing and ambiguous environments.
- Create an environment that will encourage collaboration across the business.
- Build capability in the LACE team that will allow MCEC to successfully deliver on its strategic intent.
- Manage, motivate, and drive team performance
- Role model servant leadership principles, with an agile mindset, behaviours, and ways of working

**Qualifications, knowledge, and Experience**:
**Essential**
- Senior leadership experience.
- Previous experience leading Ways of Working change
- Familiarity and exposure to multiple teams and scaled Agile frameworks with an ability to be agnostic of agile frameworks when assessing the most valuable way forward in order to live the values and principles
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining strong organisational relationships & managing stakeholders
- Excellent communicator and demonstrated ability to collaborate and secure sponsorship and support from stakeholders
- Proven leadership and coaching of individuals/teams in new ways of working.
- Ability to lead through complexity and uncertainty and encourage an environment of psychological safety
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines.

**Desirable**
- Experience in Design Thinking
