**The role**:
This important role will report to the Chief Executive Officer and directly manage a team of four Training Coordinators who oversee all training delivery across both Registered Training Organisations across 4 Australian States to both domestic and international students. This delivery includes Pre-Apprenticeship, Apprenticeship and Traineeship activity as well as Management training both in classroom environments and via our live and interactive virtual classroom environment.

This role, will sit on the company’s executive team, ensuring that only the highest quality training delivery occurs across Australia to achieve great outcomes for students and employers. In addition to this hands-on focus in ensuring that each student’s journey is a positive one, a focus will be required of effective relationship management with a range of stakeholders and business partners.

Based at our St Kilda Road Head office, you will work closely with other department heads to ensure that all aspects of the day-to-day delivery and assessment are being delivered professionally, using high quality training resources and assessments and in line with statutory and company obligations.

**Key responsibilities**:
This role is to undertake the following key tasks for both Builders Academy Australia and CWBTS:

- Driving a culture of continuous improvement and innovation strongly aligned with organizational values and high-quality student learning outcomes;
- Supporting multiple teams across the organisation to meet strategic objectives and KPIs whilst adhering to all regulatory requirements with direct Management of all Trainers and Assessors;
- Driving the performance of Trainers and Assessors to ensure that all compliance and quality requirements are being met and exceeded;
- Developing and implementing a workforce engagement strategy to ensure that Trainers and Assessors engaged are of high quality and meet all current and future student demand;
- Working with direct reports / Training Coordinators to effectively schedule Trainers and Assessors for educational activity;
- Ensure that delivery and assessment occurs at the quality required by the organisation whilst ensuring supporting student retention and satisfaction rates desired;
- Working in combination with the compliance department in writing, reviewing, updating and implementing policy and procedure documents relating to the _Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015 _(RTO Standards), and State and Federal funding contracts in relation to training and assessment activity;
- Completing all human resource management functions for direct reports and building and construction trainers;
- Liaising with Employers, Apprenticeship Support Networks, Jobactive providers, Parents and Schools and other government stakeholders regarding the promotion of and enrolment into Apprenticeships and Traineeships offered including School Based Apprenticeships and Vet in Schools; and;
- Influencing and negotiating key business and commercial decisions as part of the Management team.

We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on individual who upholds the highest standards and will lead by example. You will have demonstrated success in a similar senior role within an RTO environment and have a commitment to ensuring best practice.

It will be critical that the successful applicant can create and foster close working relationships with all key staff within the team. To do this they will be a good communicator, supportive and have a 'can-do' attitude.

**Skills, Experience & Qualifications**:

- Have a track record in building strong relationships with major customers, clients, and government agencies;
- Experience in leading and supporting high performing teams in the tertiary education sector including multi-disciplinary departments with a focus on Apprenticeships and Traineeships;
- Hold an operational current working knowledge of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTO Standards);
- Have experience regarding operational and compliance requirements in relation to training and assessment in the VET sector;
- Outstanding interpersonal & communication skills;
- Certificate IV or Diploma in TAE or higher-level educational qualifications (desirable);
- Qualification in Auditing, Business Management or similar (desirable);
- Ability to meet ASQA Fit & Proper persons requirements.
