**About the Role**

The Oncology Clinical Trials Unit at Monash Health Clayton campus is currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join our busy Oncology Clinical Trial Unit. Applicants must have a minimum 3 years relevant financial experience, certification in business finance an advantage, and exposure to clinical trials would be advantageous.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Invoicing**:

- Ensure all invoices are raised as per patient visits and assessment as per Clinical Trial Agreement (CTRA).
- Attend to invoice request from Sponsors, who have contracted Monash Health to conduct the trials on their behalf
- Ensure all external invoices are received, reviewed, approved and paid on time.
- Record keeping and Reconciliation of all payables and receivables.

**Reimbursements**:

- Attend to reimbursement requests from patients and staffs as per CTRA
- Review and process the reimbursement as per the agreement.
- Reimbursement reconciliation, record management and ensure all the reimbursement are invoiced to the sponsor as per CTRA.
- Filing and record keeping

**Budget/CTRA**:

- Assist with study budget negotiations and contract agreement
- Ensure all new trial finance are maintained and updated as per CTRA amendment or budget amendment.
- Communication/Clerical duties:

- Constant communication with the Operations Coordinator regarding strategies to improve efficiency in finance and quality improvement.
- Constant communication with research team units.
- Answer telephone calls relevant to finance
- Answer any finance related queries from the study team members and sponsors or vendors.
- Support the Operations Coordinator with clerical works as required

The Oncology Clinical Trials Unit is a dynamic workplace, and the role of the Finance Assistant is integral to the ongoing management of research and clinical trials both sponsored, collaborative and investigator led clinical trials.

We need a highly adaptive individual who is capable of working both in a team and be self motivated enough to able to work independently, utilising both their administrative, clinical knowledge and data management skills, in supporting the research team.
