The **Accounts Payable Team Leader **will play an integral part in the Self Perform (SP) Finance Team supporting the wider business. Using a flexible and adaptable approach the responsibilities include:

- Processing high volume and complex Accounts Payable (AP), and focusing on internal and external processes, including liaison between technicians and Operations Team leaders, Operations support, Finance, Accounts Payable shared service (in Adelaide), credit card payments and Vendors.
- Understanding the AP Process, maintaining relevant schedules, reconciling monthly accounts, and working with various business partners to resolve any queries or issues in a timely manner.
- Accounts Payable (AP) reporting; planning and reconciling vendor processes and reconciliations, credit card payments, investigating AP issues, chasing technicians to ensure correct and timely fulfilment of purchase orders, resolving vendor accounts before and after account is put on hold; applicable accounting and controllership in AP; and all within a well-controlled and fully compliant governance framework.
- A ‘hands-on’ role that develops, implements, and utilises best practices to deliver world-class outcomes to all stakeholders; both internal and external; displaying a process-oriented mindset to drive innovation and efficiencies.

**Skills and Experience**
- Stakeholder relationship management skills with a ‘customer first’ focus and collaborative mindset.
- Experience in financial systems and processes across a complex enterprise.
- Excellent analytical skills and an ability to use suitable tools (Excel, Power BI, others) to display information in a meaningful fashion to help drive business decisions.
- Working knowledge of statutory and regulatory compliance requirements and maintenance of a strong, SOX-compliant, internal control environment.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Accounts Payable with high proficiency in Microsoft suite of products including strong excel capabilities to work with large volume data.

**Desirable**
- Qualifications in business, accounting, or finance (Nice to have)
- At least 3 years’ experience in an accounting related role
