**Your role**
- Are you a highly skilled and motivated Investment Banking Associate with 2-5 years of relevant experience?

We are currently looking for an Associate to play a key role in supporting senior bankers in the origination and execution of a variety of complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), leveraged buyouts, equity and debt financings, and strategic advisory engagements.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with our clients to help them achieve strategic and financial objectives. Typical duties will include:

- Build and maintain financial models. Conduct comprehensive financial statement analysis and valuations using various methodologies
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, handling day-to-day communications, providing transaction updates, and addressing any client inquiries. Build and maintain strong, trust-based client relationships
- Assist with the due diligence processes, which involve reviewing financial statements, analysing market and industry data, and coordinating workstreams with external advisors
- Mentor and guide junior team members, to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality work

- You will be working in the Energy and Decarbonisation team, based in Sydney.

**Your expertise**
- 3-4 years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, private equity or a related field
- Advanced financial modelling skills and proficiency in PowerPoint. Experience with financial databases and tools such as Bloomberg, IRESS and FactSet. Strong understanding of valuation techniques and financial statement analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively articulate complex financial concepts and transaction details to clients, stakeholders and other members of the team
- Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage relationships with clients, colleagues, and external parties
