**About us**

The Portable Long Service Authority (the Authority) is a self-funded statutory body established to administer the Long Service Benefits Portability Act 2018. The Act, together with the Long Service Benefits Portability Regulations 2020 provide a Portable Long Service Benefits Scheme. The Authority plays an important role in allowing workers in the community services, contract cleaning and security industries to build up long service benefits based on time in their industry rather than with a single employer. **About the role**

The role of the Employer Regulation team is to support the Authority's regulatory approach of ensuring all employers fully comply with their legislative obligations under the _Long Service Benefits Portability Act _(the Act) and related regulations.

The Regulatory Officer sits within the Employer Regulation team and is responsible for:

- Understanding how the Portable Long Service Benefits Scheme covers employers and their workers and to provide authoritative guidance to employers on their regulatory obligations.
- Triage of 'Report an Employer' complaints, including desktop analysis, assessments and engagement with employers.
- Communicating with employers, reviewing their responses and documents, ensuring accurate worker reporting, and identifying cases for investigation.

**About you**

To become a critical member of this newly established team, you will have well developed skills that include,
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and make assessments of facts against a legislative/regulatory framework.
- Sound analytical skills and a solutions mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to form strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve resolutions.
- Well-developed time management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work under pressure, both autonomously and collaboratively within team settings
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining accurate case management data/records
