Reporting to the Plant Director, the Production Manager is responsible for delivering results in line with the Plant’s stretching continuous improvement targets, while managing production crews and operational efficiencies to KPI requirements. In addition, this role will be responsible for the safety, planning, reliability, learning and development and quality aspects within the manufacturing business (with the support of functional leaders). The role is also responsible for delivering results in line with the annual budget, through production initiatives, continuous improvement targets and lean manufacturing projects. This includes direct management of machine operators to achieve the set goals and objectives across HSE, Quality, Customer Service, Performance and People across a 24 hour operation.

We seek a motivated and experienced Production Manager with:
- Strong operational, team management, problem solving, and customer focused skills- Well-honed manufacturing process knowledge, stakeholder management, including partnering, influencing, facilitation, communication and computer skills.- Ability to work as part of a team; lives the company values and leads for purpose.- Ability to cope and work with disruption and adapt to changing priorities.- Excellent general engineering problem-solving skills and some experience in equipment maintenance- 5+ years in management positions in a Manufacturing environment, preferably within a heavy industry- Demonstrated experience of managing high performance teams with lean experience.- Intimate knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), relevant regulations, health and safety requirements, auditing requirements and relevant legislation.- Financial acumen including understanding of general finance and budgeting.- Training in Continuous Improvement Systems (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)- Degree qualifications in Engineering, Technology, Food Technology, Science, or a related discipline- Training in Safety hazard and risk identification, reporting and management
