About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate and innovative Events Specialist to plan, coordinate, and deliver high-quality events for AGL’s Emerging Business, and Commercial and Industrial teams, to showcase how AGL is helping people to decarbonise the way they live, move, and work.
This is a newly created role and a great opportunity to lead and manage a wide and varied annual calendar of events. Events will be a mix of in-person and virtual, including, but not limited to; industry and customer related events, conferences, exhibitions, speaking spots and webinars.
What you’ll be doing:
- Coordinating the development of an events strategy and annual events calendar in collaboration with Emerging Business and C&I teams
- Deliver and execute the annual events calendar including, including project management and end to end delivery of all in-person and any virtual events
- Work collaboratively with internal teams including Marketing and Brand to develop events collateral
- Research and identify new events and sponsorship opportunities for consideration and provide recommendations, where applicable
- Liaise and engage with external agencies, vendors and suppliers, including but not limited to; activation, merchandise and PR/media agencies
- Manage expectations, timeframes and pipeline of events with stakeholders
- Manage and report on events budgets in collaboration with Commercial Sponsorship Manager
- The role requires flexibility to travel, and working flexible hours, as needed
About You
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Professional event experience
- Proven track record of successfully designing and end-to-end management of corporate events and/or conferencing
- Ability to manage a broad group of stakeholders, communicate priorities and requirements to internal audiences
- Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding and familiarity with technology to facilitate virtual and in-person events experiences
- You will have the demonstrated ability to think on your feet, possess a high level of initiative and be able to juggle multiple priorities
- You will be capable of working under pressure and to required deadlines
