Seeking an experienced Head of Operations on a temporary full time basis

**Your new company**

This NSW Government agency is the lead agency for NSW tourism and major events sectors. Their role is to market Sydney and NSW as one of the world's premier tourism and major events destinations to secure major sporting and cultural events and to develop and deliver initiatives that will drive visitor growth throughout the State.

**Your new role**

The Head of Operations is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the VIVID festival including budget management, visitor experience and overseeing team resourcing and recruitment. This work includes overseeing the delivery of precincts that are produced and operated directly by the organisation.
- Project management, critical event pathway management and strategic planning
- Financial management, budgeting and reporting
- Team management
- Procurement of goods and services
- Contract management
- Oversee all event operational and production requirements
- Stakeholder management and documentation

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Advanced project management experience (events experience desirable)
- Team/staff management skills
- Highly developed budgeting skills such as financial modelling and resource management
- Excellent communicator with a variety of stakeholders
- High level decision-making skills

**What you'll get in return**
- Temporary full time assignment until 14/07/24
- $800 per day plus super
- Located in Sydney CBD with hybrid working arrangements
- 40 hour working week
- 2 x references, police check, and Working with Children Check required (if successful)
