**About the Assignment**

Working collaboratively as a part of a high performing payroll team, the role proactively contributes to the provision of a customer centric, accurate, timely and payroll service for all sites and locations in accordance with relevant legislation and compliance requirements, enterprise agreements, and other related instructions and contracts.

Tasks include:

- Support with query resolution to ensure employees receive high quality and responsive services
- Use required tools and systems
- Work to deliver services in alignment with SLA’s and KPI’s
- Support with activities including data and reporting to assist with effective and efficient audits
- Prepare and process of payroll, leave and human resource information through interpretation, data input, checking, quality control
- Maintain payroll related records and master data to ensure accuracy, service quality and data integrity
- Assist new hire process, changes and terminations, including redundancy quotes and calculations, ETP’s and employee separations.
- Assist the organisation to meet its taxation, superannuation and other legislative and statutory obligations
- Identify payroll errors and implement corrective action where required to ensure employee payments are processed accurately and SuccessFactors, EC and ECP integrity is maintained.
- Contribute to process improvement by identifying opportunities and participating in a range of payroll and service delivery improvements.
- Develop positive relationships with key People & Culture stakeholders as well as field and office-based staff
- Support with UAT for systems upgrades and configuration changes
- Maintain confidentiality and conduct in line with Santos values and policies
- Assist in the development review of payroll process, procedures and work practices

**About You**
- Degree in finance HR or related discipline
- Previous experience as a payroll officer in a large complex organisation
- Strong attention to detail & high level of accuracy and communication both written and verbal
- Experience at an advanced level in using and developing reports, data manipulation and maintenance in Excel
- Data analysis and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to interpret Awards, have experience with high volume payroll processing
- Knowledge of contemporary Payroll / HR practices and tools including, HRIS systems & data analytics with a preference for Success Factors or SAP
