**Job location**
Forensicare is the statutory agency responsible for the provision of adult forensic mental health services across Victoria. We address the needs of people experiencing mental health issues, the mental health sector, the justice sector and the general community. These services are delivered through inpatient services at Thomas Embling Hospital, community services through the Community Forensic Mental Health Service and prison-based services at several locations. Wehave position locations available at Melbourne Assessment Prison, Dame Phyllis Frost Centre and Ravenhall Correctional Centre

**About the Role**:
- Work as the Occupational Therapist within a multidisciplinary team to provide assessment, intervention and care planning approaches which ensure patients have access to meaningful, purposeful occupations which will support them in their recovery and goals to live a productive and safe life.
**Duties**:
- Advocate for the important role occupation has in recovery, health and wellebing
- Promote a positive view of mental health by supporting a whole of health approach and enabling occupational participation and performance
- Completed occupational therapy assessment and intervention (individual and group based)
- Work as a dynamic and collaborative member of a multi-disciplinary and mulit-service team to ensure a connected and responsive approach to consumer care needs.
- Support the development of a therpeutic mileu and culture through the provision of environmental enhancement and group programs.

**What you need**:
- Approved degree in Occupational Therapy recognised for membership of Occupational Therapy Australia - Australian Association of Occupational Therapists.
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulations Agency (AHPRA).
