**Role**
- Support the implementation, operation and monitoring of the reportable incidents handling function;
- Assist with the management of a caseload of incidents reported to the Commission by providers, including engaging with providers, where requested, on incidents (including deaths of people with disability) and supporting the Assistant Director in the escalation of incidents for iestigation or other action where necessary
- Support the development of advice to the Branch Manager about trends, issues, individuals of concern and inadequate investigations by service providers, through the assessment and analysis of information gathered during the reportable incidents handling process
- Support the education and training function for providers in identifying incidents, preventing and effectively responding to abuse, and neglect of people with disability and information about the Commission’s reportable incidents handling function
- Develop productive working relationships with a range of stakeholders to facilitate the work of the reportable incidents handling
**Requirements**:
- Australian citizenship and ability to secure AGSVA baseline security clearance is mandatory
- Ability to pass Australian federal background checks
- Experience working in a social service portfolio
- The ability to communicate and demonstrate patience and empathy with people from a diverse range of cultures, backgrounds, and barrier
- Well-developed problem-solving skills including the ability to analyse issues independently and draw sound conclusions from available information
- Previous experience in a reportable incidents environment, managing moderately complex incidents affecting the safety and wellbeing of participants to a high standard
- Relevant experience in dispute resolution, mediation or conciliation.
- Knowledge of the issues facing people with disability in the context of their rights, health, safety and wellbeing
- Experience in a regulatory environment

- An understanding of the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework, the NDIS Act 2013
