**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Are you a compassionate, reliable, and flexible **Aged Care Support Worker or Carer** looking to make a real impact in your local community?
Vitalis Health is currently seeking dedicated support staff to provide **in-home care for elderly clients** across **Sydney’s North and surrounding suburbs**. You’ll be working with a variety of clients who require support with daily living, mobility, and personal care in their homes.

This is a **casual role** with a **rotating, flexible roster**, offering a mix of short and long shifts. A **valid driver’s licence and access to your own vehicle is essential**, as you will travel to different client homes within the region.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
- Deliver high-quality care and support for elderly clients in their homes
- Assist with personal hygiene, showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide mobility support and safe manual handling, including hoist use where needed
- Support clients with light domestic duties, meal preparation, and transport to appointments
- Observe and report changes in client health or wellbeing
- Maintain accurate records and follow care plans as directed
- Build warm, respectful relationships with clients and their families

**CARE REQUIREMENTS**
- Personal care and hygiene assistance
- Manual handling and mobility support
- Transport assistance using your own vehicle
- Medication prompting or management (within scope)
- Companionship and emotional support
- Domestic assistance and meal prep

**HOURS & WORK SCHEDULE**
- **Casual position** with potential to **increase hours** as client needs grow
- **Rotating, flexible roster** - including weekday, weekend, and public holiday shifts
- **Travel across Sydney North and surrounding suburbs required**:

- Shifts are **scheduled to meet client needs** and vary based on location and care plans

**ESSENTIAL CRITERIA**
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, or equivalent
- Prior experience in **aged care or community support roles**:

- Valid **NSW Driver’s Licence** and **reliable, insured vehicle** (essential)
- Current **First Aid and CPR Certification**:

- Current **Working With Children Check (NSW)**:

- **National Police Check** (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with older clients
- Flexible availability and a willingness to travel within Northern Sydney suburbs
- Empathetic, reliable, and passionate about providing person-centred aged care

**DESIRABLE CRITERIA**
- Experience in dementia care or working with clients with complex needs
- Familiarity with hoists and assistive equipment
- Confidence in working independently while following structured care plans
- Comfort with digital documentation systems
