About the Role
Establish, maintain and be accountable for a highly effective administrative processes relevant to the recruitment, appointment and ongoing employment of medical staff including, but not limited to, recruitment and appointment documentation, mandatory pre-employment checks, Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration, interpretation of Award requirements, Medical Officer pay levels and the requirements of Services Australia - Medicare, Specialist Colleges and the Department of Home Affairs - Australian Work Rights verification whilst ensuring appointments comply with all current legislative requirements.
Coordinate and implement recruitment processes for Medical Officers in consultation with key stakeholders, including management of hospital medical establishment, to ensure adequate staffing numbers are maintained. Monitor and report on medical establishments and advise of potential recruitment opportunities and gaps.
