**Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Use a strong understanding of 2d animation to craft appealing character animation with dynamic body mechanics and high quality acting personality and appeal.
- Respond well to instruction, and feedback, take initiative in one's work and be willing to iterate multiple times.
- Brainstorm and ideate, strong, clear and fun narrative ideas and character pieces that can be executed to high quality, creating storyboards or thumbnails to communicate visual ideas and narrative
- Firm display of understanding over 2D animation workflows and pipelines from puppet/bone animated 2d Rigs to 2d hand-drawn vfx etc.
- Ability to create quality 2D assets and/OR rig 2D characters and animate them.
- Strong drawing ability with quality and appealing rendering quality
- Comprehension of 2d animation pipeline and workflows.

**What You Bring To The Role**:

- 3+ years of experience in 2d animation production with shipped titles in an Animation role.
- Excellent understanding of how animation must work in a pipeline structure and expectations
- Firm display of illustration and character design skills.
- Excellent initiative, self-motivation, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills, as well as team working and the ability to accept and follow direction
- Advanced level of knowledge with 2D animation asset creation and development.
- A genuine passion for animation, bringing characters to life with the highest appeal and strong visual storytelling.
- Ability to Create animation assets, rig and animate them through a full 2D production pipeline to end rendered result to a high quality and consistency.
- Experience with either Spine 2D or Adobe. (Or both)
- The ability to prioritise and work on multiple tasks simultaneously and manage competing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently to get the job done without day-to-day direction.
- Understanding of 2D animation and production as an industry as a whole.
- Conduct strategy audits with your lead to identify further opportunities to improve the way we do things.
- Think on their feet and act quickly.
- Have a can-do with the ability to turn a negative into a positive, no problem is too great.

**Bonus Points**:

- Familiarity in Rigging and Skinning with Spine 2D.
- StoryBoard skills and/or narrative writing.
- 2D hand-drawn animation skills; character or VFX.
