We are urgently seeking a compassionate and skilled Disability Support Worker to provide specialized care to a client in Newport, VIC.

**About the Role**

This role involves delivering high-complex care services to a client with specific needs, including PEG feeding and managing behaviors of concern. Your professionalism, strong command of English, and ability to foster trust and engagement will be essential in creating a safe and supportive environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide high-complex care services, including **PEG feeding** (experience mandatory and certification preferred).
- Manage behaviors of concern with empathy, patience, and **professionalism.**:

- Deliver personal care services such as showering, grooming, and dressing, ensuring respect for the client’s dignity.
- Encourage social interaction and participation in community activities to promote independence.
- Assist with light domestic duties, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.
- Accurately maintain care records, liaising with allied health professionals when required.
- Uphold Sovereign Lives' standards of professionalism and reliability while prioritizing client safety and well-being.

**What We Expect**
- Proven experience in complex care, including managing behaviors of concern.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Physical fitness for manual handling tasks (up to 10kg).
- Flexibility in scheduling to meet client needs.
- A high level of attention to detail and reliability.

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
- VIC Working with Children Check (WWCC) and NDIS Worker Check.
- Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination certificate (including booster) and flu vaccination.
- Completion of NDIS Supporting Effective Communication and Worker Orientation modules.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Certification or qualifications in Disability Support, Nursing, Allied Health, or related fields.
- Experience with PEG feeding and manual handling procedures.
