**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide person-centered support to individuals with disabilities, including those with complex needs, in various settings such as their homes, community, and recreational activities.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, personal care, medication management, and household tasks, adapting support strategies to meet their individual needs and preferences.
- Support clients in developing life skills, social skills, and independence, tailoring interventions to address their specific challenges and goals.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of client progress, activities, and any incidents, ensuring confidentiality and privacy at all times.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and colleagues, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care delivery.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to the changing needs and preferences of clients, demonstrating flexibility, creativity, and empathy in approach.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience working in disability support or a related field, with a demonstrated ability to support individuals with complex needs.
- In-depth knowledge of disability support principles, practices, and policies, including experience in working with clients with diverse abilities and challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and solution-focused approach to complex situations.
- Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle (preferred).

**Selection Process**:
**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 24 per week

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- On call
- Weekend availability

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
