To meet our growing demands, we are looking for a Technical Manager to join our team.

**The Role**

**Reporting to the Technical Director**, you will actively support, and lead the Technical Engineering Team in, Arrow’s commitment to Target Zero, specifically by direct leadership in the area of workplace health and safety; and championing appropriate process safety risk management in engineering for Operations and Projects.

This is a Brisbane based position and may require occasional travel to our field operations as required, with plenty of notice.

**In addition you will**:

- Demonstrate a personal commitment to consistently role model Arrow’s values, code of conduct, safety and the environment.
- Establish positive and productive working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Model inclusive behaviours to create a safe environment where different views and perspectives are encouraged and valued.
- Act as the Technical Authority Level 1 (TA1) for engineering disciplines and provide technical direction and resources for the development and support of asset integrity systems.
- Provide engineering technical leadership in a de-centralised function for Concept Selection, FEED, detailed design, and support through procurement, construction, commissioning, handover and operations. Manage the workloads and priorities for Process, ICE, Civil teams; achieve appropriate balance between support to Operations and Projects;
- Develop and maintain the Engineering Management Framework which includes Engineering processes, competencies, standards, specifications and procedures relating to engineering disciplines. Support the Arrow transformation project including technical support to the well delivery off-plot project, and the transition to an EPC contract model, and transition to a modified technical authority model that allows outsourcing of technical engineering work.
- As the Contract Holder of the EMSA, understand and manage the risks and performance of contractors by completing relevant HSE documentation, tender and pre-mobilisation, ensuring contractor is aware of and adheres to applicable requirements, including completing monthly reporting requirements, engaging with contractors in relation to risks and performance, manage EMSA overall workload, performance, cost and schedule and advise the Company of the emerging issues and trends.

**About You**
You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to contribute to a high performing-team with a second-to-none focus on safety and integrity.

**To be considered for this role, you will ideally have**:

- Relevant engineering degree
- Demonstrated experience in effective leadership and team management of multi-disciplinary engineering teams and setting strategic plans
