**The Role**

The Geochemistry Division in Malaga is seeking a
**Geochemical Laboratory Technician **to become part of a team that strives to exceed customer expectations by delivering quality results on time. The role will be
**Full-Time**, and the primary responsibilities are the operation and calibration of ICP-MS and/or ICPOES instrumentation.

**The day to day**
Responsibilities include:

- Collecting and preparing samples, solutions, and ensuring safe disposals of waste
- Carrying out quantitative determination using various analytical instrumentation techniques such as Work: AAS, ICPAES, ICP-MS.
- Follow applicable analytical methods and published procedures without unapproved deviation or error.
- Recording, analysing and writing reports, reviews and summaries on the findings of experiments and
- Possess trouble shooting skills.
- Be able to work within a team environment.

**The essentials**
- At least (3) year’s relevant experience in a similar role
- Bachelor of Science degree or Higher National Diploma in Chemistry or Geology related field
- Previous experience in a NATA accredited laboratory
- Knowledge of the ALS Quality Management System
- Knowledge of ALS analytical methodology and strong chemical knowledge
- Knowledge of Quality history and principles
- Appropriate time management principles
- Demonstrated mathematical/statistical principles skills.
