**The Role**

We are looking for a highly organised and experienced **Program Manager**, ideally with aerospace/defence sector manufacturing experience, to join our team. This role will work closely with our design and operational teams, and be responsible for the day-to-day design, solution development, and management of programs. This role will work closely with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, and your strong communication and influencing skills will be key to this. This role is focussed on achieving business objectives and will also be responsible for supervising a small team.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Deliver agreed project outcomes on time and within budget.
- Manage the integration of multiple disparate systems from different suppliers.
- Proactively manage the project schedule and budget objectives and timelines.
- Commercial negotiations, contract management and coordination of suppliers to deliver project outcomes.
- Keep focus and accountability on the Risk Management and Manage program contracts.
- Manage the programs in the short term, keeping a holistic view on the business to anticipate risks and identify new opportunities in the long term.
- Maintain accurate reporting on the program status using appropriate performance indicators and constantly measuring the level of customer satisfaction.
- Lead by example, support and motivate the team and be a figurehead for excellence.
- Triage problems throughout the business to reduce distractions and allow the team to focus on what is most important.
- Support with recruitment, performance reviews, and training.

**Skills, Experience and Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering - Aerospace, Electrical or Mechanical.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, Maintenance, Logistics, Business Management or other relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Proven project management experience - ideally 5-10 years in a leadership role on Design and Manufacture projects related to either the Aerospace, Defence or similar sectors.
- Proven experience in complex program management including but not limited to managing of complex lines of communication with customer and stakeholders, managing variable backlog or schedule with compounding interactions and utilisation challenges.
- Experience in preparing and managing project budgets using software and reporting tools including MS Project, Excel, MS365 and SharePoint (advanced), MS Project Online and Server, Power Query, Power BI (desirable).
- Experience interpreting and analysing complex data.
- Demonstrated ability to delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Understanding of risk assessments and risk mitigation/management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills - oral and written.
- Self-reliance and willingness to operate at a strategic and detailed transactional level.
- Supplementary requirements_
