**About the role**:
As the Learning & Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in Life Ed's Education team. Reporting to the National Manager of Program Development and working closely with the Life Ed Network, you will focus on guiding and supporting the training and continuous learning opportunities for Life Ed's dedicated team of Educators. You will collaborate with stakeholders and experts nationally to design, develop, and implement high-quality, engaging training and L&D resources. You will also manage the online learning management system (LMS) and work closely with the Affiliate network to ensure alignment with their needs and priorities.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate regularly with the Affiliate network to incorporate their input into training and ongoing L&D opportunities, conduct a needs assessment and develop a Training & L&D Strategy.
- Design, develop, and implement high-quality Life Ed program training resources for Educators.
- Create engaging L&D resources and opportunities to enhance the professional capability of Life Ed Educators.
- Build partnerships with aligned organisations to arrange speakers and topics for webinars and professional development events.
- Promote best practice teaching and learning approaches by supporting Educators and providing them with valuable resources.
- Manage the evolution of training and L&D resources and oversee the LMS, including content updates and user management.
- Establish a national L&D calendar of events for continuing professional development.
- Develop a process and cadence for gathering feedback on training and L&D resources and use this feedback for continuous improvement.

**Essential requirements**:

- Demonstrated experience leading an L&D function, from design to ongoing management and developing training/L&D programs for adult learners/educators.
- Familiarity with learning management systems and e-learning platforms.
- Comprehensive knowledge of current and effective pedagogical/teaching and learning approaches.
- Experience evaluating the effectiveness of training and L&D initiatives.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team with a proactive, can-do attitude.
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work in a culturally safe manner.
- Incumbents must provide an up-to-date Working with Children Check before any employment contract is issued.

**Highly Desired**:

- Experience providing L&D for educators or health professionals, knowledge of best practice school-based drug and health education.
- Familiarity with the Health and Physical Education Learning Area of the Australian Curriculum and state and territory syllabuses.
- Experience working in a not-for-profit organization.
- Experience with GO1 and Articulate Rise.
