**How will I help?**

This role reports into the Executive Manager within the _Strategy, Practice Management, Governance & Reporting _, Business Controls & Monitoring team of the Mortgages Lines of Business. The Business Controls & Monitoring (BCM) team is responsible for leading operational risk and compliance management across the Mortgages Lines of Business across all our brands and channels.

The Risk Reporting & Analytics function (within BCM) is responsible for uplifting risk focused management reporting and analytics initiatives across the Mortgages Lines of Business to support the business by driving informed decisions to assist in effective risk management practices.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
**Embedding risk framework**
- As part of a team of risk and analytics professionals, contribute to ensuring the divisional and business operations, and risk management practices align to the frameworks, policies, risk strategy, regulatory obligations, governance requirements and appetite of the Group.
- Support the uplift of risk reporting across the Mortgages Lines of Business, including automation and streamlining of risk reporting.
- Liaise with key risk functions to determine appropriate measures to monitor the performance of the Mortgages Risk profile.

**Managing risk outcomes**
- Identify what data is applicable to the Mortgages Lines of Business and determine how to source information.
- Develop dashboard reporting algorithms in various tools such as Excel and Alteryx and enhance in a Tableau (or other visualisation tool) format to create a self-serving capability for the wider team.
- Perform behavioural and descriptive analysis to identify opportunities and produce insights to improve risk awareness and management.
- Communicate with risk functions to understand their requirements and incorporate this in the development of Risk Reporting (e.g. Alteryx / Tableau reporting).
- Assist with governance / paper submission / ad-hoc request development to provide key reporting insights into the Mortgages risk environment.

**Stakeholder management and communication**
- Effectively communicate and work collaboratively with stakeholders from multiple teams within Westpac Group to achieve desired common outcomes.
- Develop dashboard reporting and insights to create a self-serving analytics capability for the wider team.
- Create compelling visualisations for understanding and using well-established tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBi, Qlik).
- Manage relationships with various stakeholders and promoting data driven decision making culture.
- Respond to regulatory (e.g. ASIC and APRA) queries in a timely and accurate manner.

**Driving high performance**
- Monitor effectiveness of self-assessment and management reporting, highlight gaps and risks outside appetite.
- Understand the quality and intricacies of Juno (internal Westpac operational risk management system) records/data and monitor/track actions against various frameworks, policies and risk appetites.
- Identify and report on areas of topical relevance that would benefit the Mortgages business from a risk management and management reporting perspective.
- Have a passion for identifying and implementing automation initiatives.

**What do I need?**

Experience working with Tableau or other data visualisation tools Interested in Advanced/Predictive analytics or automation beneficial. Experience with Issues / Incident / Control Management systems is highly desired.
