**Principal Government Relations** to join our team.

**The Role**

**Reporting to the Government Relations & Tenure Manager,** the purpose of this position is to lead and manage strategic engagement of key government stakeholders, ensuring productive relationships with all levels of government.

This is a Brisbane based position and will require occasional travel to our field operations as required, with plenty of notice.

**In addition you will**:

- Demonstrate a personal commitment to consistently role model Arrow’s values, code of conduct, safety and the environment.
- Establish positive and productive working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Model inclusive behaviours to create a safe environment where different views and perspectives are encouraged and valued.
- Lead the strategic development and delivery of value driven solutions, frameworks and standards of practice in Government Relations.
- Ensure Arrow’s views are represented in policy development and decision-making and to minimise risk to Arrow Energy’s operations and projects
- Deliver timely and strategic policy analysis, advice and feedback to Arrow's operations and projects.
- Develop strong relationship across all levels of government, including ministerial offices and senior executives.
- Coordinate across Arrow’s project teams to understand the impact of various policy proposals and implement strategies to achieve outcomes that align with business priorities
- Conduct briefings for Arrow’s Leadership Team, General Managers and relevant staff ahead of external engagements.

**About You**
You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to contribute to a high performing-team with a second-to-none focus on safety and integrity.

**To be considered for this role, you will ideally have**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in either Business, Law, Political science, Social science, or Public Administration or equivalent
- Extensive experience in Government and external relations, stakeholder management and policy development.
- Experience in energy or resources is desirable
