- The Demant Group operates in a global market with companies in more than 30 countries, employs approx. 17,500 people globally. Our products are sold in more than 130 countries where we create life-changing differences through hearing health.**Responsibilities**:
- This role is responsible for all aspects of accounting, statutory reporting, taxation, treasury, accounting processes and financial controls.- Direct and coordinate the preparation of the financial reporting activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting under IFRS reporting requirements.
- Management of the treasury function of the company, including intercompany accounts, cash management and company credit cards
- Review relevant regulatory and legislative changes to tax, accounting and corporation law to ensure the company meets external reporting and compliance obligations.
- Review existing month-end processes and facilitate the development and implementation of more efficient and effective processes that save time and add value.
- Manage and coordinate the annual external audit across all businesses in Australia and New Zealand.
- Manage and coordinate local tax reporting and payment across Australia and New Zealand.
- Manage (and implement where required) the internal controls around the company’s fixed assets and _inventory._
**You will be successful in this role if you have**:
- Demonstrated experience of 10 years or more. (Expert understanding of accounting principles and advanced financial analysis.)
- Demonstrated experience in managing large teams with an ability to multi-task and drive projects forward.
- Experience in a complex transactional environment with a company that has overseas parent reporting.
- Experience in a company undergoing change and _transformation._
- Expert technical knowledge of accounting standards and taxation legislation applicable to Australia and New Zealand.
- Advance knowledge and implementation of internal control frameworks.
- ERP system experience is essential, Microsoft Dynamics NAV/ AX advantageous.

- Bachelor of Business or Commerce majoring in accounting, or similar.
- Professional Accounting Qualification (CA, or equivalent)
