POWINS offer the below Position Description as a general overview of working attributes required. As an engineering and product solutions based company it is envisaged that further opportunity and task may be assigned to you based on company demands allowing skills growth and professional mentoring. The focus of your role is to ensure the following tasks as detailed in your position description are effectively managed and completed. This is done by having daily interaction with leading hands (manufacturing & testing department), the Operations Manager’s and General Manager.
- Take reasonable steps to prevent risks to health and safety at work by notifying your employer or supervisor of any matter that may affect Occupational Health and Safety.
- Carry out your work in a safe and efficient manner maintaining a good level of personal hygiene.
- Become familiar with identifying hazards, the principles for controlling risk and report all incidents and accidents promptly.
- Comply with Occupational Health and Safety requirements in accordance with information communicated from managers whilst ensuring all personal protective equipment is used as supplied.
- Raise issues of OH&S importance that would be of benefit to communicate to other key interested parties
- You must not wilfully or recklessly interfere with, misuse equipment, tools or place any person at risk in the workplace
- Nominate for positions and/or participate in elections for employee members of any Workplace Health and Safety Committee or Workplace Health and Safety Representatives
- Actively participate and support the company’s continuous improvement activities, policies and procedures ensuring your activities reflect the company’s Environment and Quality Management Systems
- Report any customer complaint or feedback
- Actively endorse the company’s HR policies.
- In an honest and constructive manner, support and communicate with your fellow employees and managers.
- Ensure that both the company and the employee’s rights are sustained.

**Objectives**
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and is completed within set timeframes.
- Strive to increase efficiency, productivity and reduce errors and waste.
- Direct, train and assist other POWINS employee’s as necessary to achieve maximum efficiency and productivity.
- Be constructive in resolution of problems within job scope and implement any appropriate corrective action.
- Comply with and Quality, Environmental and Workplace Health and Safety systems.
- Offer constructive ideas with respect to the implementation, improvement or enhancement of procedures and systems to reduce complexity and achieve greater efficiency throughout the organisation.
- Offer constructive ideas that may provide for cost reduction, particularly in the POWINS group.
- Promote harmonious working relations amongst office and workshop personnel.
- Complete and maintain training and certification regarding job scope as agreed with the Management.

**Qualifications**:

- Language
- English
- Written/Oral Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Customer service oriented
- Able to complete administrative tasks with mínimal supervision
- Good attention to detail
- Proactive in problem solving skills
- Computer Skills:
High level of computer and troubleshooting skills.

Personal Skills:

- A positive, can-do, supportive attitude is welcome.
