Production and Project Planner

**Job summary**:
Our growing company is eagerly seeking a reliable, organised production and project planner to manage the day-to-day administrative and relationship building aspects of overseeing projects from initiation to completion.
The Production and Project Planner for our company will be responsible for developing and overseeing production schedules and coordinating project timelines to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality recreation projects. The planner will work closely with both our company’s internal team and external consultants and contractors to manage resources, deliverables, and timelines for a variety of recreation projects, while ensuring that all safety standards, regulations and key deliverables and the required level of service is met.
The successful applicant will require a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, a competitive edge, excellent communication skills, an eye for organisation and details; while being capable of working both independently and providing input and direction in a team environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Track and monitor workload, deadlines, and task prioritisation across internal departments to ensure timely completion and identify bottlenecks for effective workload balancing.
- Coordinate with designers, engineers and various other contractors to create project timelines that align with production capabilities.
- Assist various internal departments (e.g., HR, Sales, Finance, Marketing, Operations) with administrative tasks and provide timely support and delivery where needed.
- Identify potential production or project delays and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions and provide high levels of communication to all relevant parties.
- Maintain accurate project and production documentation, including status reports, resource allocations, schedules, OH&S and any other site specific details.
- Analyse production and project data to identify trends, process improvements, and opportunities to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Communicate proactively and effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders regarding project milestones, potential risks, and changes to schedules.
- Handle any ad-hoc administrative tasks or projects as assigned by senior management.
- Provide customer service or support when necessary, acting as a liaison to resolve internal or external inquiries.
**Required Qualifications**:
- Tertiary education preferred
- Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in production planning, project management
- Strong understanding of production processes, scheduling systems, and project management techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), AutoCAD, CRMs & Gantt Charts.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with ERP/Workflow Management systems
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities.
