Mulpha acquired The Signal Group in 2021. Based in Coomera, The Signal Group has 4 distinct brands Signal Advantage, Signal Promo, Just Coolers and Full Colour Badges. It’s product lines includes customised name badges, personal and ID security solutions, promotional products, stubby coolers and other neoprene promotional products, workwear, apparel, headwear, and signage. For over 15 years it has serviced its clients, which include some of Australia’s most prominent national retailers, restaurants, hospitality, airlines, education, real estate, healthcare groups, government and emergency services.

THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Group Operations Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations and drive operational excellence across our diverse product portfolio.

**Key responsibilities include**:
Provide strategic direction and leadership to the manufacturing operations department, ensuring alignment with the company's overall objectives and goals.
Oversee and optimize manufacturing processes, including production planning, scheduling, inventory management, and quality control.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, such as design, product development, and sales, to ensure seamless coordination and timely delivery of products.
Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and maximize productivity.
Foster a culture of innovation and operational excellence, encouraging and implementing best practices and new technologies in manufacturing processes.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and partners to ensure the availability of quality materials and services.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing professionals, providing guidance, feedback, and support.

YOUR BACKGROUND

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration). A master's degree is a plus.
Proven experience (5+ years) in a manufacturing or operations management role, preferably in the identification and branded merchandise industry.
Strong knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes, including production planning, inventory management, quality control, and Lean principles.
Demonstrated track record of successfully implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiency.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
Knowledge of industry regulations, compliance standards, and best practices related to manufacturing operations.
Proficiency in using manufacturing software systems and tools.
