
Sustainability Specialist

The role
To provide brands and business units with strategic advice and support to develop and implement sustainability strategies for fibre, materials and product design, sustainability claims and marketing, and impact initiatives and partnerships.
Key responsibilities
- Provide ongoing advisory support to brands for sustainable product strategies, including supporting sourcing team with traceability and standards, as required
- Support brands with strategic advice to build sustainability into their marketing and customer strategies, tracking outcomes through brand equity and customer insights reporting and reviewing brands’ sustainability communications for website, social media and on-product
- Support brands to continuously improve their partnerships and engagement with community and industry stakeholders, identifying new opportunities and advising on new partnership negotiations
- Manage communication and develop engagement strategies with key stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of product sustainability and impact initiatives and sustainability communications
- Engage partners and represent the business across relevant industry working groups and sustainability related consultations to support industry collaboration and improved standards
- Continuous research, benchmarking and identification of opportunities to collaborate and invest in best practice to support brands sustainable product related goals and KPIs
- Support and advise the development of product and impact initiatives and partnership strategies, roadmaps and KPIs for Country Road Group, including innovation, circular business models and industry/community partnerships
- Monitor industry, media, regulatory developments, including certification program revisions, and advise Country Road Group for strategic direction as appropriate
