Art Gallery NSW is due to open the biggest and most exciting new Art Precinct - Sydney Modern Project. With the AGNSW’s expansion, the Sydney Modern Project, will create a new art museum experience across two buildings connected by a public art garden. The Gallery facility offers the unique opportunity for memorable corporate events and functions by providing an ever changing art background combined with the spectacular Sydney Harbour and Botanic Gardens views

An exciting opportunity exists within our offsite Event/Catering team for a talented and experienced Event Manager. Reporting directly to the Director of Events, the Event Manager will be responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of a range of exiting events based at any of our venues as well as for outside catering

You will build excellent relationships with clients, while working in partnership with other departments to deliver exceptional outcomes and budgeted revenues.

**About you**
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role with a luxury hotel or catering company
- Great relationship building skills
- A dynamic and passionate attitude towards food & beverage
- Exceptional time management & communication skills
- Sound organisational and computer skills - Priava experience is desirable
- High attention to detail with the ability to multi-task/manage multiple events
- Ability to make calculated decisions, in line with company policies & procedures
- Exceptional personal presentation
- Outgoing personality with strong negotiation skills
- Enjoy adapting to a fast paced, project focused environment
- Pro-active and innovative approach to potential clients
- Tertiary qualifications are desirable
