Coles Express has recently been acquired by Viva Energy Retail, Australia’s largest single branded convenience and retail network.

Viva Energy Retail is a mobility and convenience division of Viva Energy Australia with a high-quality national network of fuel and convenience stores located in metro, regional and on main transport routes, and provides an advantaged position to serve the on-road and local suburban convenience markets.

**About the Job**:
As the Pricing and Market Analyst you will provide insights and analytical support to the Category team while taking every opportunity to improve and automate business processes.

You’ll also:

- Conduct competitive pricing analysis and maintain a deep understanding of market dynamics
- Monitor COGS and pricing trends proactively and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to implement pricing strategy and governance
- Prepare weekly COGS reporting and monthly pricing reporting
- Prepare COGS analysis by working closely with category and financial teams
- Work closely with The Pricing & Promotions Manager on price effectiveness analysis and provide insights to the Category team
- Get involved in other adhoc analytical projects as required

**About you and your skills**:
You have strong analytical skills and possess a high level of proficiency in quantitative analysis and data interpretation to effectively analyse trends and drivers of performance.

You’ll also have:

- Exposure to pricing and promotions tactics and strategy
- Advanced Excel, PowerQuery, PowerPivot, Macro
- Strong Communication and Collaboration Skills to convey complex analysis findings to stakeholders
- Problem Solving skills to identify pricing / COGS related challenges and develop innovative solutions, implementing process improvements for sustainable business growth
- Tableau & SQL experience is ideal
- Experience within the Retail or similar industry will be advantageous
