The growing Energy Industries Division of ABB Australia is looking for a proven leader to head up the project management function of the business. The Head of Project Management Australia will be responsible to coach, mentor and lead a team to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction whilst delivering the projects to best in class project management methodologies and principles. The business is looking for a customer and people focused leader with sound financial knowledge to deliver high quality results to all stakeholders. Reporting to Local Division Manager of Energy Industries and this position will be based in Fortitude Valley, Australia.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Contributing to implementation of continuous improvements for the project execution strategy for the local project operation, in alignment Hub and Local Division business strategies
- Ensuring the local portfolio of projects is managed consistently, based on best practices and ABB Policies
- Developing and continuously improving respective processes, based on industry best practices
- Ensuring that findings from lessons learned from project execution are incorporated in continuous improvement actions
- Participating in Bid/Sales Phase, i.e., in estimating, resource planning and develop project execution plans at bid stage and reporting,developing KPI to improve process and efficiency
- Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders of the PM Team
- Leading the PM team to establish and enforce an effective project management approach to achieve both project and organizational goals

**Your background**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering field and or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years experience in a lead role
- Experience in managing both product, service, and solutions project execution and in turnkey projects including installation is an asset
- Certified Project Management Professional, or similar designation(s) and strong leadership skill, able to inspire a collaborative environment
- Demonstrated experience in delivering complex projects on time and on budget
- Advanced user of all Microsoft products (PowerPoint, Project, etc.) and knowledge of SAP and excellent communication skills are must
