Head Brewer

**Head Brewer, Soapbox Beer, Fortitude Valley**

Soapbox Beer is an independent craft brewery, bar and kitchen in Fortitude Valley. Established in 2018, the Soapbox Team have developed a core range and seasonal beer releases to tickle taste buds.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Work with the Soapbox production team, using your beer industry knowledge, intuition and acumen to develop and manage product recipes, source ingredients, test and deliver the final product to meet quality standards while managing costs.
- Share your knowledge of the brews to support sales and front of house staff and attend industry events, raising your megaphone for Soapbox Beer.

**A bit about you**:

- You have 3 to 4 years of experience in a similar role
- You enjoy your work in a multifaceted role that offers hands-on brewing, along with opportunity to collaborate with the production team on planning and promoting the final product, and day-to-day management of systems and processes that make it possible.
- Your strong attention to detail and professionalism is demonstrated in the quality brews you produce, the work environment you foster, the network of industry professionals you maintain, and the processes and systems you use to make it possible.
- Your enthusiasm for craft beer energises the team and you enjoy playing a vital role in a growing small business, value a team-focused, family-orientated culture and are a great communicator.
- You are responsible and proactive to monitor successes and propose change, troubleshoot and resolve brewing operations issues
- You are proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Recognised industry qualifications and valid accreditations are valued
- Forklift ticket an advantage

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
