**Position: Family Day Care Coordinator**
We are seeking a passionate, motivated, and dynamic **Family Day Care Coordinator** to join our team on Sydney Northern Beaches This is a unique opportunity to support and manage a network of Family Day Care (FDC) Educators who run their own education and care services from home.
**Role Overview**:
As a **Family Day Care Coordinator**, you will lead, guide, and support our registered FDC Educators, ensuring they provide high-quality, compliant, and safe care for children. Your role will focus on mentoring educators to create engaging, secure, and stimulating learning environments based on the **Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)** and **My Time Our Place** guidelines.
You will work closely with Educators to ensure adherence to relevant regulations, policies, and procedures, promoting the safety, well-being, and development of the children in their care. Additionally, you will engage with families and external agencies, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration across all parties involved.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead, support, and mentor Family Day Care Educators in providing a high standard of care and education for children in accordance with EYLF, **ACECQA** standards, and **Department of Education** requirements.
- Assist educators in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate programs and safe, stimulating environments for children.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including Education and Care services, Family Assistance Law, and national quality frameworks.
- Conduct regular visits to Educators’ homes to provide support, training, and performance feedback.
- Communicate effectively with families, staff, and external agencies to foster a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, including compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance on child development, positive behaviour management techniques, and strategies for addressing the individual needs of children.
**Essential Qualifications & Experience**:
- **Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care** or **Diploma of Children’s Services** (or equivalent, as approved by ACECQA).
- Proven experience in a **leadership role** within an early childhood education setting.
- Current **NSW Working with Children Check** clearance.
- **National Police Check** clearance.
- Completion of **Identify and Respond to Children at Risk of Harm** training.
- Current **First Aid Certificate**, including **emergency management of asthma and anaphylaxis**.
- Strong working knowledge of **child development**, positive behaviour guidance, and strategies for supporting children.
- Sound understanding of **Education and Care regulations** and **Family Assistance Law**.
- **Current Driver’s License** and access to a reliable motor vehicle.
**Desired Skills & Qualities**:
- Excellent time management, organisational, and administration skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with educators, families, and external agencies.
- Ability to work autonomously, prioritise tasks, and manage a diverse workload.
