Escort Group Supervisor

**About the role**
Ventia’s contract with the Department of Justice are seeking an approachable and supportive** Escort Group Supervisor **to join the Escort Group Team based in Canning Vale, Western Australia.

Reporting to the Fleet & Escort Group Manager you will assist in the delivery of an effective and efficient escort function of persons to and from custody for the metro area and fleet management across Western Australia for the Court Security and Custodial Services contract. This role will see you working on a roster basis early shift or back shift.

**Your duties will include but are not limited to**:

- Ensure the data capture management system (ePEMS) is kept up to date in all aspects
- Proactively assist the Fleet & Escort Group Manager in hour’s management aligned to budgetary requirements
- Ensure all pertinent information is handed over to the oncoming shift in a detailed written manner
- Timely reporting of all vehicle defect / repairs and subsequent follow up actions
- Accountability for all equipment issued to staff daily, along with ensuring post inspection checks of vehicles to ensure maximum vehicle availability is achieved
- Regular engagement and management of the escort staffing group and vehicle within the Metro area
- Promoting and Supporting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the escort operation
- Ensure best practise is embedded with the highest standard of governance, quality & compliance
- Ensure all resources are mobilised to deliver the work scope in a timely and efficient manner
- Prepare and analyse monthly, yearly, and essential contract management reports where required

**Skills and experience**
- Minimum of Certificate III in Correctional practice would be advantageous but not essential
- First Aid & CPR or equivalent and Control and Restraint qualified
- High level of experience working in an escort custody operational environment with a proven track record in delivering a high-quality service
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including experience in undertaking investigations
- Proven track record in managing and developing teams within the justice space including empowering others to embrace change
- Sound knowledge of legislation and associated compliance requirements
- Experience in using and managing a data capture management system
- Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- Ability to remain agile and resilient, even when facing resistance or pressure to change

**Other special conditions**
**The incumbent to this position must have Australian Work Rights and have the ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check, Working with Children Check and be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical including a drug & alcohol test in order to be eligible for this position.**
