Genus Fleet Management, a division of the rapidly expanding GenusPlus Group (ASX:GNP), is seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead our mechanical team at our Kenwick facility. We specialise in electrical & instrumentation, mechanical fabrication, assembly, and installation across the utilities and infrastructure sectors.
As the Workshop Supervisor, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the mechanical team, ensuring the maintenance and performance of a diverse fleet — from light vehicles to heavy plant equipment. You will be responsible for guiding the team, maintaining high safety standards, and driving the success of our Kenwick-based operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and support your team to deliver exceptional performance.
- Provide technical direction for servicing and maintaining a wide range of fleet vehicles and equipment.
- Coordinate procurement of vehicle parts and manage workshop inventory.
- Monitor and review work to ensure quality, safety, and compliance.
- Identify and solve technical and operational challenges quickly and effectively.
- Foster a high-performance and safety-first culture in the workshop.
- Carry out SHEQ activities – toolbox talks, pre-starts, risk assessments, and team communications.
- Cert III in Automotive Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years in a supervisory role within a mechanical or fleet environment.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
- Solid experience in fleet maintenance, component rebuilds, or heavy equipment repairs.
- A proven track record in leading teams and achieving performance goals.
- A good understanding of Work Health & Safety practices.
- HR Driver's Licence, First Aid + CPR, National Police Clearance.
- Project Management experience.
- Background in utilities, construction, or resource industries.
- High-risk licences: LF, EWP, Excavator (LE), Mobile Crane (C2).
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
