Staff Specialist, Surgical Rapid Assessment Unit, Trauma Service and Acute Surgical Unit

**About the role
Permanent full time and part time opportunity to work in a supportive and innovative environment with other general surgeons whose passion it is in caring for patients with emergency general surgical problems and those with traumatic injuries. The Staff Specialist will collaborate with the other members of the team responsible for the day to day operation of the SRAU and the Trauma Service.
About you
Collaborate closely with staff in the Trauma Service/ASU/SRAU to ensure that patients are treated in an efficient and timely manner.
Participate in teaching of surgical trainees, residents, interns, nurses and allied health staff the principles of evaluation and management of the emergency general surgical and trauma patient.
Attend departmental meetings for audit including M&M, Quality & Improvement and Trauma Review Committee meetings.
