**About us**
The Housing Hub was created in 2017 with a goal to support people with disability to find suitable and quality housing. Thousands of properties across Australia are currently listed on the Housing Hub website, making it easier for housing seekers to find the right home. Finding the right home can be a long and complicated process, so we’ve created an online community where housing seekers and housing providers work together to develop a market where people with disability enjoy choice and control.
Our Digital Product Team is responsible for monetising the website and is currently looking for a Business Development expert who will engage with customers to grow sales of digital products and services related to the housinghub.or.au website, including advertising, featured listings, data reports and other services.
**About the role**
The Business Development Specialist is responsible for all elements of the sales cycle, including prospecting, nurturing, converting, sales and post sales. This amazing sales person will work with the Digital Product Manager and team to ensure the Housing Hub remains the number 1 website for accessible housing in Australia. You will be expected to assist the team to meet all revenue and growth objectives for our existing products and services, in addition to identifying new opportunities to generate revenue and leverage our data to improve the efficient operation of the market. We expect this outstanding operator to be able to build and foster relationships with all of our clients.

- Undertaking prospecting activities to build your sales pipeline
- Meeting with your Team and Manager
- Chatting to potential clients about their existing listings and what else we could provide them
- Doing some much needed research on our competitors
- Preparing lots of proposals, making appointments
- Doing some after sales calls
- At a trade show or industry event
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement a Business Development Plan for all digital products and services ensuring that activities are aligned to revenue and other growth objectives
- Undertake prospecting activities on a daily basis to build the sales pipeline
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships and networks to drive business growth
- Attend industry events and meetings to build relationships with Housing Providers
- Undertake research into the accessible housing market and the needs of housing providers
- Prepare and follow up proposals, contracts and reports
- Undertake after sales follow up to build stakeholder networks, improve future pitches and incorporate into product and service improvements
- Meet weekly KPIs for business development activity, with a focus on revenue and conversion goals maintaining the BD dashboard
- Attend and contribute to any business development meetings as required
- Maintain work instructions, templates and procedure documents
**Desired Skills and Experience**:
**What experience and skills are we keen for you to have?**
- Degree or other relevant qualification in business development, business, digital marketing, marketing
- At least two years experience in a B2B business development role
- Ability to self-source new business leads through multiple avenues, including cold calling, networking, referrals, referral partners/events etc.
- Understanding of digital platforms, marketing, technology architecture and data models
- Proven ability to negotiate and close deals
- Highly autonomous and self-sufficient
- Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills
- Adaptable to changing environments
- Experience in the for purpose sector is desirable
- Knowledge of the disability sector is desirable
