**Disability Support Worker**
**Start Date: Immediate Start**
**Job Type: Casual**

**Hours: up to 20 hours per week Monday to Friday, weekends.**
**Hourly Rate: $30.00 plus superannuation**

Happy Peeps Pty Ltd is currently looking for happy, enthusiastic and hard working Disability Support Worker’s to join our team (NO TIME WASTERS). This is a casual role of up to 30 hours per week. Applicants must be available to work Monday to Fridays, overnight and weekends when required. Applicants must hold Cert III in Disability, Individual support or extensive experience in disability, mental health, aged care or community services and have experience with personal care.

The office is located in Brisbane Western Suburbs, and you will be required to visit complex clients at home or take participants out into the community.

Happy Peeps Pty Ltd is a quality mental health business located in Brisbane. We provide services for anyone wanting professional counselling, support coordination or support workers for their unique needs and circumstances. We are an outreach mobile service working in Brisbane and its surrounding areas. We are currently expanding and looking for a team member who is passionate about helping others.

**Position Description**
- Provide Support to NDIS participants in home and community access.
- Provide support for a wide range people with physical, intellectual and psychosocial mental health disabilities.
- Have exceptional communication skills and work from a client centred approach.
- Have strong interpersonal skills such as problem-solving and knowledge sharing skills.
- Have a friendly and positive attitude and willing to participate within a caring team environment.

**Duties**
- Domestic duties - washing up, washing clothes, general tidying
- Food preparation - shopping, preparing, cooking, clean up
- Lifestyle needs - assisting with making and attending medical appointments, travel to shopping centre and help with shopping
- Community access - assist with attending personal and community events

**Requirements**:

- Cert III in Disability, Individual support or extensive experience in disability, mental health, aged care or community services
- Hold a valid Blue card and Disability Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card)
- Prompt attendence to all rostered shifts and cover shifts
- Punctual case notes
- Hold a Queensland Drivers Licence
- Provide own reliable car and comprehensive insurance
- Willing to travel across Brisbane and Greater Brisbane areas for clients
- Completed NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Completed First Aid & CPR Training
- Provide a Covid-19 digital certificate
- Be Pet friendly
