**The Role**
The Mission Support Officer will coordinate administrative arrangements for Air Mobility Group (AMG) missions. This includes aircraft ground handling at domestic, international and foreign military Airfields, booking flight crew’s accommodation and transport.

The APS 4 Mission Support Officer is responsible to:

- Utilise unique software programs for raising mission paperwork and monitoring missions
- Determine and arrange ground handling requirements specific to the aircraft type and loads.
- Arrange flight crew accommodation and road transport in accordance with relevant policy
- Maintain situational awareness of tasks in progress, ensuring changes and potential problems that may impact AMG tasking’s are appropriately dealt with or escalated.
- Liaise and maintain an effective working relationship with all sections within AMCC and Defence and Civilian agencies that provide support to AMG.
- Manage daily workflow and all incoming correspondence within Microsoft outlook on a rotational basis with other section members.
- Have the flexibility to perform on-call duties - as required

**About our Team**
AMCC Mission Support is located at RAAF Base Richmond NSW and supports overall operational and strategic objectives of Air Mobility Group (AMG) and the wider defence community.

The Mission Support team works collaboratively with other sections within AMCC and Squadrons, providing support to all AMG directed tasking.

To be Successful in this role you will have:

- Strong written and oral communication skills and be comfortable conversing with a variety of ranks and audiences including foreign military, civil domestic and international agencies.
- Ability to prioritise and time manage a variable workload whilst working in a sometimes-fluid environment which requires flexibility and adaptability.
- Demonstrate commitment to the Defence Values and be focused on being a dedicated team member.
