**Your new role awaits**:
As a Coates Equipment Maintenance Controller at our **Maitland **branch, you will be responsible for the cleaning and inspection tasks of equipment at the branch. This includes some minor repairs and adjustments and the use of test instruments. The role is responsible for the reporting of equipment damage and ensuring equipment is ready, fit for purpose and safe for hire. In addition, the Equipment Maintenance Controller is a supporting role to the entire team including customer service staff and mechanics to enable them to focus on the tasks in front of them, this is where your flexibility and ability to manage conflicting priorities is key for a One Team approach. Some tasks include:
- Check and control equipment (inbound & outbound) as it comes in and out of the yard and provide support to Truck Drivers by spotting while they perform their load/unload tasks. There will also be load/unload activities to be performed with customers who directly visit the branch.
- Perform basic inspection checks and minor repairs of equipment at the branch following the Coates Maintenance program.
- Responsible for keeping workshop, yard and service area clean, tidy, organised and safe.
**About you**:
This role is perfect if you are mechanically minded, enjoy fixing equipment and a trade qualification is in your career plans. As well as having amazing customer service skills and a can-do, flexible attitude, you will have:
- Current drivers license is essential, & forklift high risk license will be highly regarded
- Good verbal communication skills, work well within a team and unsupervised.
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Intermediate computer skills, time management & organisational skills
- Be physically fit and knowledgeable about safety standards
- Mechanical equipment knowledge is desirable especially around small tools and equipment.
- Familiarisation with Take 5’s and JSEA’s - Safety First Attitude is a must
