Job Title: Automation Technician

The Automation Technician plays a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal functioning of plant equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, adhering to strict health and safety protocols at all times.
  • Support site reliability initiatives by identifying failure modes, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions to enhance equipment performance.
  • Assist in scheduling and executing maintenance tasks, ensuring accurate documentation of work orders and tasks for maintaining comprehensive maintenance records.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve maintenance processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and contributing to overall plant performance.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments for all tasks using site-specific or dynamic risk assessment procedures to guarantee the safety of both equipment and personnel.
Requirements:
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in industrial machine maintenance.
  • Ability to read and utilize mechanical and electrical schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Familiarity with industrial electrical system components such as motors, variable AC drives, PLCs, and field sensors.
  • Preventative and corrective maintenance on conveyance equipment.
  • Capability to climb steps over conveyor systems, work in confined spaces, and navigate heights safely.
  • Proficiency in navigating MS Office and internet applications.
  • Comprehensive understanding of OSHA and Control of Hazardous Energy procedures and regulations.
  • Ability to operate Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
