**Group Security **provides specialist support for all Group functions relating to Cyber Security, Physical Security, Business Resilience, and Fraud Management to ensure a secure organisation in which our people and customers are kept safe and secure for generations to come. We are managing security risks today and investing for the future, through intelligent protection, detection, response, recovery & resilience.

**Protective Security - People, Events and Commercial** provides a specialist global protective security risk management and advisory function. The team provides specialist security advice in support of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors, high-risk international travel, major corporate events, serious and complex threats to staff, security training, and security design for commercial premises.

**Your impact**:
As Manager, Protective Security - People and Events, you are responsible for providing security risk advice and support to business leaders and individual staff across a range of functions; including international travel, major corporate events, physical security incident management, complex threat management, and executive security. You will also support the commercial office security function through the design, delivery, operation and disposal phases.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Contributing to a high performing team through high quality, specialist security risk management and advisory services to the Group's businesses globally.
- Developing and maintaining security operating procedures in accordance with the procedure ownership model.
- Supporting staff experiencing complex and serious threats.
- Responding to security incidents, including assessing threat/risk, developing and implementing controls, and monitoring the outcomes.
- Developing and maintaining employee security training.
- Supporting the Executive Protection Program, managing staff travel risk, and coordinating security for major events.
- Developing and delivering continuous improvement focused on simplification, business outcomes, productivity and the management of risk.
- Supporting the Commercial risk manager with developing and delivering Line 2 assurance over the implementation and operation of recommended security controls; and identifying and raising risk issues related to security control weaknesses.

**We're interested in hearing from people with the following**:

- Approx. 5 years' experience in either security advisory or risk roles.
- Military or police experience desirable
- Experience and understanding of security risk management and compliance methodologies.
- Advanced ability to analyse information and situations and make judgements with due consideration to risks and outcomes.
- Ability to review/audit risk assessments and technical security solutions to ensure consistency and relevance.
- Demonstrates ability to work with outsourced service providers and manage security vendors/contractors.
- Demonstrated analytical skills with regards to geo-political developments, civil unrest, natural disasters and physical security threats to assets and people.
- Demonstrated ability to make key decisions in stressful situations and environments that ensures staff safety and protects the business's reputation.
