Elizabeth, Australia City of Playford Full time

**Fulltime / 12-month fixed term contract**

**Classification GO3**

**($84,087.57+ Superannuation)**

**The Role**:
As one of the fastest growing council areas in South Australia, the City of Playford is focused on building sustainable foundations and places the community at the heart of everything we do. With our urban centre as the CBD of Northern Adelaide, our city is enriched by growing and diverse communities in new and established suburbs, rural and hills townships and horticultural lands.

The work that we do and the decisions that we make are in the best interests of the whole and contribute to a sustainable organisational future. Modelling open decision making, we provide a supportive and collaborative environment where employees feel engaged and connected to the work of the organisation, to each other, and the community.

The Positive Ageing team at the City of Playford supports compassion, dignity and living life to the fullest. From our thoughtfully curated activities and wellness programs through to creating nutritious meals that bring joy to the senses and coordinating personalised care services, we’re shaping the future of ageing positively. We celebrate independence and value creating new opportunities for our community to live well, laugh often and make cherished memories.

The Positive Ageing - Program Coordinator will support customers to increase their connection with the community in alignment with their individual goals. This role ensures that all program requirements are met as outlined by the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) grant funding agreement and organisational requirements.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Plan, schedule, and deliver programs, activities, outings, and services that contribute to improved health and wellbeing for older people in the City of Playford and surrounds
- Undertake client intake, review and exit processes.
- Engage and capture regular feedback from customers about their received supports, ensuring focus on service delivery and continuous improvement.
- Proactively develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers, program volunteers, and other key stakeholders.

**What you’ll bring to our team**:

- Previous experience in a similar role will help you with getting some quick wins on the board.
- A good understanding of the Aged Care sector, legislation and funding requirements will help you with coordinating successful and exceptional services to our community.
- An openness to doing things differently and being brave with flair and creativity.
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to juggle responsibilities like a pro.
- Charisma, innovation and fun to create a work environment where the team thrive, and success feels like part of the natural journey.

**What’s in it for you**:
We’re not your typical 9-to-5. Whether you’re an early riser, you need to drop the kids off or you need to work from home, you can embrace true flexibility that works for you. Sometimes you’ll need to stay back in the evening or come in on the weekend because that’s what our community needs.

We care about what you achieve and want to get the best out of you. We embrace autonomy, diverse working styles and celebrate the uniqueness that every team member brings to the table. Meet your deadlines, exceed expectations, and enjoy the freedom to manage your workload in a way that works best for you.

**Ready to join our team?**

We value inclusion and diversity - if you require any reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process, please let us know.
