About the Role:

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking experienced Consultants in General Medicine to join our team.

As a Consultant in General Medicine, you will provide specialist medical care to patients across our service. Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to our diverse community.

Key responsibilities include:

• providing specialist consultation and treatment for patients with complex medical conditions
• supervising and mentoring junior medical staff and registrars
• participating in quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance activities
• contributing to teaching and education programmes

To be eligible for this position, you must hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.

The Total Indicative Remuneration figure is calculated taking into account base salary, leave loading and superannuation as well as managerial allowances, professional development or any other allowances where appropriate.

Lyell McEwin Hospital – The major hospital in the north and north-east for emergency care, complex and multi-day surgery, medicine, obstetrics, paediatrics and outpatient services.

Modbury Hospital – A general hospital with emergency care, elective surgery, medicine, outpatient and sub-acute services, rehabilitation, geriatric and palliative care.
