• Ongoing Part-Time (Two Positions)

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity is presented to join the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Consultant in Neurology and Stroke.

As part of our neurology team, you will provide specialist consultation, diagnostic expertise and treatment for patients with complex neurological conditions.

In this role you will:

• provide specialist neurology and stroke inpatient and consultation services
• deliver acute stroke care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
• conduct comprehensive neurological assessments and develop treatment plans – Inpatients and Outpatients
• supervise and mentor junior medical staff and registrars
• participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance

To be eligible for this position, you must hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.

The Total Indicative Remuneration figure is calculated taking into account base salary, leave loading and superannuation as well as managerial allowances, professional development or any other allowances where appropriate.

About You:

Demonstrated clinical excellence in Medicine and clinical experience in Neurology in particular Epilepsy and Stroke, ability to assist with education of medical officers, trainees and students, and high level skills in communication, negotiation and problem solving are essential in this role.
