An opportunity has become available for an experienced, responsive and self-starting HR Advisor, to join an established financial services firm based in Melbourne's CBD. This is a permanent role.
This role exists to provide consulting services and HR support across the business, you will partner with the leadership team to provide best practice employee relations expertise and support.
You typical day will involve;
- Supporting the PP&C team with the implementation of the HR strategy
- Providing professional advice to stakeholders on people related matters
- Taking a lead role by partnering with business leaders in advising on a range of IR/ER matters
- Finding best practice solutions to support employees and the business with respect to employee relations matters
- Identifying issues through channels such as exit interviews, probationary reviews, surveys and trends - providing advice to address these in partnership with management
- Supporting and implementing an effective performance review process
- Supporting the delivery of the annual engagement surveys and associated action planning projects
- Supporting of projects in relation to people related initiatives
- Developing excellent working relationships with internal and external clients
- Assisting with various projects as required across all levels of the business
To be considered, you will ideally have;
- Strong knowledge of best practice in human resources
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
- Strong relationship building and management skills
- The ability to work effectively within a high-pressure environment
- The ability to provide timely and accurate services to internal & external clients to meet service standards
- Familiarity with Australian employment law
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail
- The ability to negotiate and develop sound working relationships with all levels
- The ability to identify and implement continuous improvement within current work practices
