**About the Role**
Opportunity to join Vinnies NSW as **Finance** **Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis **role. You will oversee the administration of Frederic House resident agreements, accounts and financials, provide analysis and advice to support the Vinnies Services Directors in maximising the revenue available and contribute to the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, financial improvement and other projects. Your experience in the aged care industry, knowledge of funding sources and compliance reporting obligations will be advantageous.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Generate and maintain residential agreements and file maintenance including Centrelink statements, Powers of Attorney to ensure accurate billing for resident client contributions.
- Ensure residential agreement basic daily rates are updated regularly in line with increases to the age pension twice a year and that residents are notified in writing.
- Undertake monthly reconciliations including Rescare to ensure accurate records of residents amounts held in trust and accounts payable and income statement to ensure correct allocation and recognition of income to Frederic House.
- Generate information from resident files for the accounts team to prepare fortnightly invoices to residents, trustees and guardians for rent and work with accounts to ensure residents fee statements issued, payments received and arrears managed.
- Oversee Administration staff to ensure residents have access to their own funds and trust accounts.
- Partner with key stakeholders across Vinnies Services and build and maintain productive working relationships
- Develop and maintain systems, models and processes for the collection of data to meet the Quarterly Financial Report (QFR) and annual Aged Care Financial Report (ACFR) requirements
- Timely and accurate preparation and submission of QFR and ACFR compliance reports
- Support the implementation of effective risk management procedures to ensure compliance with legal, employment and governance requirements.
**You will need**:
- Relevant tertiary qualification/s in accounting or similar discipline in addition to relevant experience in financial accounting, management accounting, analysis and budgeting.
- Demonstrated ability to meet tight timeframes and the capacity to manage competing deadlines and work on multiple projects at the same time.
- Demonstrated ability and expertise in external reporting.
- Demonstrated ability and expertise in detailed account reconciliations.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate with key stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds and in providing accurate reports.
- Membership of a professional accounting body (CPA or CA) (Desirable)
