**About the role**
We have an exciting opening for **experienced and professional Admission Secretary** to join our Patient Admission team working in our Day Surgery & Minor Procedures Unit.
- Responsibilities include delivering a **superior level of customer service** to patients, visitors and internal clients.
- This role also involves addressing **patient and doctor inquiries**, along with handling all administrative tasks related to **patient preadmissions, admissions and discharges** including health fund eligibility checks and estimations.

To be successful you will be a well-presented individual who **possesses highly developed communication skills, is flexible and excels** in a multi-disciplined team environment.
**Your key skills and experience**
**Essential qualification**:
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain good working relations with others.
- High degree of attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft, Excel and Outlook.
- Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Proven organisational skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
**Desirable**:
- Previous experience in booking medical/surgical admissions and procedures.
**Remuneration**:On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $31.49 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances
